The college offers the unique opportunity for current students to be paired with local Penn State alumni so that a relationship can develop between them focusing on academic success and career choice enhancement. The boundaries of the mentor-protégé relationship are set by the student and mentor, not the college. The Mentor Program allows undecided students to share and discuss their career paths and studies with experienced local Penn State alumni in their interested field or academic discipline. The college will match students with local Penn State alumni based on indicated interest levels and desired results. The Mentoring Program runs from September to May each year, but successful mentor-protégé relationships may last as long as the student and mentor agree, even beyond the college years or perhaps a lifetime.
